7 Dr. Mohd Nizwan Musling is a Senior Lecturer in Arabic Language at the Faculty of Major Language Studies, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), where he has served since 2019. He holds a PhD in Arabic Language (Language and Syntax) from Yarmouk University, Jordan, a master’s degree in Arabic communication (2015), and a bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Communication with Honours (2013) from USIM, as well as a Diploma in Arabic Language and Literature (2009) from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA). His research focuses on Arabic linguistics, particularly syntax, morpho- phonology, the use of Arabic source texts, and their relationship to language development and the noble values they convey, alongside studies on Arabic for professional and academic purposes and the teaching of Arabic to non-native speakers through the Nahu Wazifi (Functional Grammar) approach. Actively engaged in authorship, editing, journal publication, creative writing, and national and international conference presentations, he has also held key administrative roles, including two terms as Head of the Arabic and Communication Programme (2021–2025), and memberships in the USIM Academic Staff Association, the World Arabic Language Association, the Arabic Language Association of Malaysia, the Academic Programme Audit Committee, and the USIM Writers’ Pool. Currently an Associate Fellow at the Institute of Islamic Science, USIM, he contributes to the Arabic language industry in Malaysia, including as a speaker for the Mukhayyam Arabi Madani 2025 programme under the Ministry of Education Malaysia. Email: mohdnizwan@usim.edu.my Dr. Kartini Kamaruzzaman is a Senior Lecturer inNew Media Communications programme, at the Faculty of Leadership and Management, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), where she has served since 2019. She holds a PhD in Media, Communication, and Sociology from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom (2019), a Master’s degree in Media Management from USIM (2013), and a Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Communication andTraining from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) (2011). Her research interests include collective action and social change, digital campaign, technology, communication, media culture and society, as well as the intersection of religion, media, and social movements. She has led and contributed to various national and international research projects, including studies on online activism, counter- extremism narratives, and youth engagement in digital campaigns. An active author and presenter at conferences, she also serves as a reviewer for local and international journals, experienced as a consultant for government agencies, and a trainer in leadership, communication, and digital media skills through Service Learning Malaysia-University for Society. She has received multiple awards for innovation and community engagement, notably in projects integrating Naqli and Aqli knowledge for social empowerment.
