Katakunci: kumijzatan saintifik, ibadah haji ABSTRACT The topic of this study is “The Scientific Miracles in Hajj Rituals” , presented at the 2025 Regional Hajj Symposium in conjunction with the 42nd National-Level Hajj Conference held on 8 – 9 October 2025. The Hajj pilgrimage is a unique act of worship. It represents the fifth pillar of Islam. In today's era of science and technology, various discoveries have been made. Modern equipment and tools can be used to verify and prove certain matters. The same applies to the Hajj rituals — whether in terms of their history, obligatory acts, valid conditions, or other elements — which all hold their own wisdom and hidden meanings. These wisdoms and secrets can now be demonstrated and supported through today’s technological advancements. Scientific miracles refer to verses of the Qur’an and Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that allude to matters which can be verified through scientific methods. These include aspects of medicine, astronomy, engineering, and others. In the context of Hajj, the Kaaba is the focal point where pilgrims perform the tawaf ritual. The Kaaba is considered the first structure ever built on the surface of the Earth by the command of Allah (SWT). Allah says: "Indeed, the first House [of worship] established for mankind was that at Bakkah – blessed and a guidance for the worlds ." (Surah Ali 'Imran: 96) The Qur’anic reference to the Kaaba as the first house built for humankind has inspired scientific inquiry and observation, particularly in the field of geology. Scholars have found evidence supporting this claim and have linked it to geographical studies highlighting Mecca’s central position on the Earth’s landmass. Tawaf is a fundamental pillar of the Hajj. The pilgrimage is not valid unless the tawaf is performed around the Kaaba seven times. Furthermore, the tawaf must be conducted in a counterclockwise direction. This has inspired research into the correlation between counterclockwise movement and natural phenomena, including the movement of subatomic particles like the atom, as well as celestial bodies such as stars and galaxies. This study focuses on three main areas: the miraculous nature of the Qur’an, the miraculous nature of the Hadiths of the Prophet (PBUH), and elements specifically related to the rituals of Hajj. The research employs a qualitative, library-based methodology. The collected data is critically analysed to draw conclusions regarding the uniqueness of Hajj from the perspective of Qur’anic and Prophetic miracles. One of the main objectives of this study is to identify scientific elements within the Hajj rituals that originate from the Qur’an and Hadiths. This study may also serve as supplementary reading material for Hajj course instructors (PEKTA) to be shared during basic Hajj training sessions. Keywords: Scientific Miracles / Hajj Rituals
