However, recommendations include enhancing user education, especially for less digitally literate groups, and addressing possible privacy concerns rigorously. Together, these findings portray a successful early-stage AI integration in Malaysian Hajj processes, underscored by balanced technological innovation and adherence to religious and ethical imperatives. Conclusion The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Malaysian Hajj management represents a significant leap towards modernizing a centuries-old spiritual journey while preserving its religious sanctity. This paper highlights how Malaysia has effectively employed AI-driven solutions most notably the e-Taib digital guidance system to enhance pilgrim safety, health monitoring, ritual compliance, and logistical coordination. e-Taib's hybrid model of combining AI-supported query management with authoritative human religious facilitators addresses the critical need for doctrinal accuracy, distinguishing it from generic AI tools. Coupled with international cooperation leveraging Saudi Arabia’s AI -powered crowd management systems, Malaysia’s approach has improved overall pilgrimage quality, safety, and spiritual confidence for thousands of pilgrims. However, challenges remain in safeguarding data privacy, addressing digital literacy disparities, managing operational costs, and ensuring technologies align fully with Islamic ethical frameworks ( maqasid al-shariah ). Continuous efforts in education, governance, and technological innovation are essential to maintain the delicate balance between efficiency and spiritual authenticity. Looking ahead, further research into personalized spiritual AI coaching, enhanced interoperability between national pilgrimage systems, and inclusive technology design can propel Malaysian Hajj management to global leadership in smart pilgrimage experiences.
