Distributes2,400 PacksofBubur Lambuk USIMContinuesRamadan Tradition, toCommunityandUniformed Personnel This year, 2,400 packs of bubur lambuk were successfully prepared by the Sports Centre on Wednesday for the USIM Community Bubur Lambuk Distribution Program, to be shared with the local community, mosques, and uniformed personnel in Nilai as well as USIM staff and students. According to the Director of the Sports Centre, Nur Ekmal Buhary, the preparation of bubur lambuk as a traditional Ramadan dish continues to be a collaborative effort from ingredients procurement and cooking to packaging and distribution to the local community. “Starting from a small scale with one pot in the first year to four large pots this year, the financial cost of about RM4,000.00 for preparing the bubur lambuk is funded by various contributions from within and outside the university. We receive many donation requests but must refuse some due to logistical, manpower, and time constraints,” he said. “This year, we also managed to prepare a pot of black glutinous rice porridge to distribute along with the bubur lambuk. Around 100 volunteers from the staff and students collaborated over two days, on Tuesday and Wednesday, to prepare the dish.” “Distributions to the community were organized through local residents’ associations and mosque committees near the campus, including Desa Jati, Taman Anggerik, and Desa Kolej. Uniformed personnel at the Nilai Police Station and Fire Station also received shares.” he added.
