History 1998 Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) has a history that dates back to its establishment in 1998 as the Kolej Universiti Islam Malaysia (KUIM). The institution began with three foundational faculties: the Faculty of Syariah & Judiciary, Faculty of Quranic & Sunnah Studies, and Faculty of Da’wah & Islamic Management. — 2007 In recognition of its growth and achievements, KUIM was granted full university status in 2007 and was subsequently renamed Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). This milestone marked the institution’s official transition into a comprehensive university dedicated to Islamic-based education and research. USIM’s new campus spans over 600 hectares and is strategically located in Bandar Baru Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. Situated just a 20-minute drive from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and a convenient 40-minute commute to downtown Kuala Lumpur, the campus offers easy accessibility to students, faculty, and visitors. The expansive and modern campus provides a conducive learning environment with state-of-the-art facilities and amenities. It encompasses academic buildings, research centers, student residences, sports facilities, and recreational spaces, creating a vibrant and engaging campus community. As USIM continues to evolve, we remain committed to our mission of fostering holistic education, integrating Islamic values with academic excellence, and producing graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also compassionate leaders ready to contribute to society. 12
