OFFSTONE JUNE EDITION 2024

i CHIEF EDITOR’S NOTE Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh and warm greetings, Praise be to Allah SWT, for by His grace and mercy, the June 2024 edition of Offstone , Islamic Communication Gazette has been successfully published. As the e-magazine under the auspices of the Faculty of Leadership and Management, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Offstone remains committed to offering in-depth and relevant semi-academic discourse, particularly in Islamic communication. This edition features 16 articles from academics, researchers, and students from diverse backgrounds. Five articles are in Malay, while the remaining 11 are in English. This version, however, reflects the absence of Arabic articles in this edition and maintains the overall tone and structure. This trilingual approach reflects our effort to maintain Offstone's unique character while expanding the reach and understanding of the academic community and the public. The articles in this edition cover a wide range of topics related to Islamic communication, including current issues under the theme of Communication and Culture. The discussion in this edition ranges from topics including culture and ethics, the role of AI in communication, communication in the workplace and communication and new media. Each article presents scholarly discussions grounded in research and offers practical and relevant perspectives that can be applied in the real world. Through these rich analyses and insightful viewpoints, we hope readers will gain profound benefits, enriching their knowledge and understanding of today's increasingly complex communication issues in the Islamic world. Moreover, we would like to take this opportunity to announce that the next edition, the December 2024 Edition, is currently in the planning stages. We warmly welcome article submissions from academics and researchers. With the contributions and cooperation of all parties, Offstone will continue to grow as an authoritative platform for disseminating knowledge and information grounded in Islamic principles.
