49 Conclusion Overall, the media has the potential to shape public discourse and perceptions of religion. By promoting responsible and inclusive representations, the media organizations may contribute to fostering understanding, interfaith relations, and social cohesion as well as promoting religious literacy, and countering stereotypes. By recognizing the influence of media representations, engaging with diverse religious voices, and promoting ethical journalism, we may harness the power of the media to contribute to a more informed, tolerant, and respectful society.
