She has 14 years of experience teaching in the Software and Application Development area, focusing on System Analysis and Design. Furthermore, the author has experience in software development projects, having worked as a systems/business analyst. She obtained her Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Development) degree from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) and holds a Master's degree in Computer Science (Software Technology) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. ABSTRACT This article explores how Islamic ethics can be adopted into cybersecurity to protect individuals and organizations. By adhering to the principles of integrity, availability, authoritative, and confidentiality, users can better protect themselves and their users from cyber threats, while also upholding their ethical responsibilities in communication. Introduction In today's digital age, communication is heavily reliant on technology and the internet. From sending emails to making video calls, we use technology to connect with others and share information. However, with the increasing use of technology comes an increased risk of cyber threats, such as hacking, phishing, and malware. To protect against these threats, it is important for individuals and organizations to practice safe and responsible online behaviour. Protecting oneself while using the internet is crucial, particularly in Islam where self- protection is strongly emphasised through Quranic teachings and hadith. In the Qur'an, it states
