| Majlis Konvokesyen ke-20 USIM 45 by the Norwegian Government in 1985 and appointed as the President of the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS Malaysia) from 2013 to 2020. Indeed, the significant contribution of Dato’ Ar. Haji Hajeedar to Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia is through his involvement in the preparation of the Concept Proposal for the Development of the Permanent Main Campus of Kolej Universiti IslamMalaysia (KUIM), which subsequently led to the approval of the development of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) at the Nilai Campus. Hajeedar and Associates Sdn. is the company responsible for designing the Concept Proposal for the Development of the Permanent Main Campus of Kolej Universiti IslamMalaysia (KUIM). The presentation of the concept was made by Dato’ Ar. Haji Hajeedar to KUIM in July 2000. The presentation centred on the characteristics and definition of the values ​ and soul of Islamic art to be adopted for the KUIM campus. The abstract concept of ‘Oneness’ ( KeEsaan ) was translated by using elements of art as a source of inspiration and was given a detailed description in the Concept Report and Master Plan of Kolej Universiti Islam Malaysia that were personally prepared by Dato’ Ar. Haji Hajeedar. In addition, he also applied design ideas that emphasised green and sustainable development through centralised campus design, preservation of green areas, user-friendly campus and ‘low-rise’ design buildings to create a positive response towards the environment. In comparison, the physical components for the proposed campus design included the main entrance, university hill, lake, student residence, university ring road, the main hall, mosque, staff residence and the maintenance building (Source: KUIM Concept Report and Master Plan). In addition to his role as the Architect who prepared the KUIM Concept Plan, he was also the Architect responsible for designing and developing the first faculty building, which is the Faculty of Quran and Sunnah Studies, USIM. He also contributed and supported the development of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, USIM. Dato’ Ar. Haji Hajeedar is a highly respected figure in the world of built environment in general and architecture in particular. As a leader, he is an individual of high integrity, and always firmly fighting for what is right in architectural issues. To some, he is known as an ‘interactive walking encyclopedia’ because of his extensive experience and knowledge in various aspects, especially that of Architecture and Built Environment.
