In 1981, he furthered his studies at the PhD level at the University ofWollongong, NSWAustralia, also in mathematics. Therefore, there is no denying his expertise in the field of mathematics which he has been involved in for many years. In November 2002 he was released with permission by UPM and appointed as a Professor of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). He held the position of Director of the UPSI Graduate School from 2003 until his mandatory retirement in July 2005. He then started his service at Universiti Sains IslamMalaysia (USIM) as a Professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) on 1 August 2005. With his clear vision and vast experience , he was entrusted as the Dean, Center for Graduate Studies from 1 January 2006 to 15 June 2012. His contribution to USIM is undeniable. He streamlined and restructured the USIM Graduate Studies Rules which remain until now. He was later appointed as the 2nd Dean of FST from 16 June 2012 to 31 July 2015. He also acted as USIM’s Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic and International Affairs (TNCAA) on 2 January 2010 until 15 May 2010. His contribution to the academic world and society, has qualified him to be awarded with the Johan Setia Mahkota Medal of Merit (JSM) in conjunction with the Official Birthday of His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIII on 7 June 2008. In the field of Mathematics, he was also awarded as a Fellow of the Mathematics Association Malaysia in 2010 which only consist of 19 people up until today. Due to his love for USIM students and its milieu, he is now still working at FST as an Academic Fellow at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) despite having reached his mandatory retirement age.
