28 Majlis Konvokesyen Khas USIM His profound and critical thinking about the Quranic texts and the Sunnah is evidenced by his numerous writings and speeches, which reject narrow interpretations often manipulated by liberal, radical, and extremist ideologies. He has made significant contributions to the development of the USIM, especially in the field of religious knowledge and collaboration with various faculties at USIM. His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Ahmad At-Tayyeb has provided invaluable contributions duringhis tenureas theRector ofAl-AzharUniversity. Under his leadership, Al-Azhar University seconded six academic members to serve at the USIM. Of these six, three, who hold professorial ranks, were assigned to the Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies. They played a crucial role in strengthening curriculum development and human capital, particularly in the field of Quranic and Sunnah expertise. His role in fostering academic cooperation between Al-Azhar University and USIM clearly demonstrates his commitment to educational excellence and the advancement of Islamic knowledge. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, the Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies at the USIM has awarded His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Ahmad At-Tayyeb an Honorary Doctorate in Quranic and Sunnah Studies. This recognition not only strengthens the relationship between USIM and Al-Azhar University but also reinforces USIM’s image as an institution supporting the ideology of moderation in Islam and opposing radical and extremist beliefs. It is hoped that this award will continue to foster close relations between the two institutions and bring great benefits to Muslims worldwide. فضيلة الإمام الأكبر الأستاذ الدكتور أحمد محمد أحمد الطیب، شيخ الأزهر الشريف، عالم من علماء م. لأسرة صوفية 1946 يناير عام 6 العصر، ولد بقرية القرنة التابعة لمحافظة الأقصر في صعيد مصر في زاهدة، وبيت علم وصلاح، ويعود نسب أسرته إلى سيدنا الحسن بنعلي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنهما. التحَقَ فضيلة الأستاذ بقسم العقيدة والفلسفة بكلية أصول الدين بالقاهرة، حتى تخرّج فيها بتفوق م. وحاز على درجة الدكتوراه من الشعبة نفسها عام 1971 م. ثم أكمل درجة الماجستير عام 1969 عام م. تلقى العلم في الأزهر على يد كبار علمائه في جميع مراحله التعليمية، وقد حرض منذ صغره على 1977 حضور مجالس العلماء والصالحين، وتعلم أصول التربية والسلوك والحكمة. وجمع فضيلة الأستاذ أحمد محمد الطيب بين تعاليم المنهج الأزهري وَالانفتاح على الثقافة الأوروبية الحديثة، حيث درس اللغة الفرنسية في المركز الثقافي الفرنسي بالقاهرة بعدما تخرج في كلية أصول الدين، وقضى به قرابة خمس سنوات، وكان يعرف الإنجليزية من دراستها في المرحلة الثانوية الأزهرية وفي الكلية، وترجم عَددًا من المراجع الفرنسية إلى اللغة العربية. 1965 - 1960
