She is also actively involved in student mobility, youth empowerment, and engagement programmes. ABSTRACT In the digital era, communication is no longer confined to words, but it is embedded in systems, platforms, and everyday practices. This article explores how Malaysian social enterprises use technology to translate Islamic values such as amanah, ihsan, and maslahah into action, demonstrating how digital tools can empower communities, promote sustainability, and create meaningful social impact. Introduction Communication in the digital age is no longer limited to speeches, reports, or social media captions. It now lives inside algorithms, digital platforms, data systems, and everyday online interactions. For social enterprises, technology can become a living expression of values rather than just a tool for efficiency. A social enterprise in Malaysia is a mission-driven business addressing social or environmental challenges through sustainable commercial activities. Many are guided by Islamic principles that emphasise responsibility, justice, and compassion.
