74 Islamic religion in branding that do not require halal certification from an authority body to date, such as prayer rugs, prayer clothes, fragrances, books and the like. The culture of using religion as branding does not only apply to Islam but also to other religions. This raises questions regarding ethics in religious branding. Is this practice considered a form of preaching or using religion as a tool to make a profit? From a legal perspective, Article 11(4) of the Federal Constitution prohibits the propagation of other religions to Muslims. This includes using symbols or sacred texts of other religions in product branding. Product branding that uses religious characteristics other than Islam is also a form of subtle propagation of religion. Closing The public's acceptance of product branding that uses various religious characteristics and leads to purchasing behavior needs to be identified to measure the level of sensitivity and interaction towards it. This issue should be taken seriously and given immediate attention on the basis of maintaining the harmony of a multi-racial and religious community that is loyal to the supremacy of the constitution. Lastly, hope this writing may act as a suggestion to the authorities (such as the government's agencies) to develop a systematic guideline by utilizing Maqasid Syari'ah as one of the solutions to solve the issue, maintain the peace and harmony in Malaysia or emerging on a global scale.
