Islamic digital communication that emphasises shared human values, moral responsibility, and constructive dialogue can contribute to global peace discourses while remaining faithful to religious principles. Integrating Islamic Values with Digital Peace Communication The integration of Islamic peace ethics with digital communication strategies is central to effective global peace-building. Islamic communication emphasises truthfulness ( sidq ), responsibility ( amanah ), and respectful engagement, values that align closely with ethical digital communication frameworks. When applied thoughtfully, these principles can guide content creation, audience engagement, and platform use. Digital storytelling rooted in Islamic peace narratives can humanise Muslim experiences and foster empathy across cultural boundaries. For instance, short-form videos, infographics, and reflective essays shared on global platforms can communicate complex ideas in accessible formats without compromising theological depth. Such approaches allow Islamic peace messages to reach diverse audiences beyond traditional religious spaces. Moreover, digital civic engagement grounded in Islamic ethics can counter online hostility and misinformation. Peace-oriented digital initiatives, including interfaith dialogues and educational campaigns, demonstrate how Islam can actively contribute to global harmony through communication rather than confrontation. Closing Islamic peace-building in the digital age is both a challenge and an opportunity. While global communication platforms often magnify misunderstanding, they also provide powerful tools for ethical engagement and narrative transformation. By integrating Islamic principles with strategic digital communication, peacebuilding efforts can move beyond defensive responses toward proactive global influence.
