48 responsibility. When translated into digital communication, these elements support peace- building by fostering shared understanding and reinforcing ethical commitments. Closing Peace-building in the digital age is a continuous and often understated process. It unfolds through communication, cooperation, and the gradual formation of trust among diverse actors. Digital platforms, while frequently associated with conflict and polarisation, also offer unprecedented opportunities for ethical engagement and coalition-building. Islam provides a moral framework that aligns closely with these practices. Its emphasis on justice, trust, compassion, and responsible communication offers guidance for navigating digital spaces without reproducing division or hostility. By grounding global communication in ethical principles, peace-building becomes not an abstract ideal but a lived practice. Ultimately, peace in a globalised world is sustained not by silence or uniformity, but by principled communication and collective effort. Through thoughtful coalition-building and ethical engagement, digital spaces can become sites where peace is not only discussed but actively cultivated.
