This process strengthens its credibility and increases the chances of it being recommended for real use in Hajj and Umrah preparation and guidance. PROPOSED CHATBOT ARCHITECTURE AND USE CASES FOR HAJJ SUPPORT The Hajj pilgrimage involves millions of people performing rituals within a limited time and space. Pilgrims often face challenges such as confusion about rituals, language barriers, health issues, and sudden changes in environment. These situations require quick answers and clear guidance. Traditional sources of help, such as group leaders or religious scholars, may not always be immediately available. In this context, an AI-powered chatbot can serve as a dynamic assistant, providing pilgrims with fast, simple, and reliable support whenever they need it. The proposed Hajj chatbot is designed with an architecture that ensures both accuracy and flexibility. Pilgrims interact with the system through a simple interface, either by typing or speaking. Their questions are first processed by Microsoft Copilot Studio, which manages the flow of conversation. Copilot Studio checks the Hajj knowledge base, which contains trusted information about rituals, rules, and frequently asked questions, ensuring that responses remain accurate and consistent with Islamic guidance. For more complex queries, Copilot Studio forwards the question to Azure OpenAI. The language model then generates a natural, human-like answer that is easy for pilgrims to understand. The final response is delivered back to the pilgrim as text or voice output, creating smooth, clear, and supportive interaction even in stressful moments. By combining rule- based accuracy with the adaptive strengths of a Large Language Model (LLM), this hybrid design ensures that pilgrims receive guidance that is both correct and conversational, accommodating diverse backgrounds and language needs. Figure 2 depicts the proposed architecture for the generative AI-Integrated chatbot for effective hajj and umrah learning and support. Figure 2. PRELIMINARY RESULTS & EXPECTED OUTCOMES This section presents preliminary results from the design process and outlines the expected outcomes of the proposed system (see Figure 3). The analysis follows the methodology phases and highlights the potential contributions once the prototype is implemented. First, the Needs Analysis confirmed, through literature and expert input, that existing Hajj and Umrah applications mainly provide static information and lack personalization, adaptive guidance, and real-time support. This gap supports the development of a Generative AI – integrated chatbot to better meet the diverse needs of pilgrims.
