MAJALAH AL-HIKMAH EDISI 6 | 2018
most Protestants believe in the Holy Trinity. They believe in God the father(the Creator), God the Son(the Redeemer) and God the Holy Spirit (the helper). While, the Protestants are further divided into many denominations to name but a few: Seventh Day Adventists, Methodists, Luther- ans, Pentecostals, Baptists, Pres- byterians, Anglicans, Assemblies of God, Mennonites, Nazarene, and Jehovah’s witnesses. In both the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches, Christians do not only worship God the father, but also God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. In effect they also worship angels, holy Mary as the mother of God, and the numerous other saints, such as St. Antho- ny of Thebes, St. Jude Thaddeus, and St. Christopher. In contrast, Muslims believe that there is only one true God; his proper name is Allah. He is the only creator, the cherisher and Sustainer of all that exists. It clearly explained in surah al-Ikh - las 1-4. Allah says; He is Allah, the One and Only; Al - lah, the Eternal Refuge. He begets not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him. There are many surahs that men- tions and explain about Allah SWT, which is surah al-Anbiya, surah Yusuf, surah al-Naml, surah Maryam, surah an-Nisa and oth- ers. In conclusions, this book also provided the passage from the Qur’an and the Bible for the read- ers to gain more understanding about both of these religions. To get more further knowledge or explanations about Muslim and Christians interactions, I highly recommend to all staff or students to read this book. In my opinions, the author use the English word that easy to all the readers to understand. Thus, I hope all the readers will enjoy my writings about this book. In Shaa Allah. 11
