18 I n the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Knowledge is something that very wide and worth rather than gold or world even. We can- not buy it with money but must to be conscientious with struggle to achieve that. From that verses, we might to sure that first revelation to our much-loved prophet Mu- hammad (SAW) through Gabriel tough us to read and treasure the sort of knowledge to lead us to the right path. Perhaps, with the easy way or hard approach. Allah (SWT) says in the Holy Quran; “Recite in the name of your Lord who created; Created man from a clinging substance; Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous; Who taught by the pen; taught man that which he knew not”. Surah Al-A’laq, verses 1-5. However, knowledge is some- thing wide and collective. Some- times, easy and complicated. Eve- rything that we got as information whereas new or old, we can call as knowledge. But, knowledge is not enough just information yet, it is something that give impact in hu- man soul. The good knowledge is know where is the real root knowledge come, how to know who is the real God, the knowledge that give positive con- sequence to human soul which is form them to be good person. For instance, for those get knowledge that will give influence to emo- tion, they will look this world with the good views, know everything done by something cause. The best thing when the knowledge might be practice perfectly and arranged. In this academic world, there are many views from scholars about knowledge in every aspect whereas in Islamic views or west- ern views. People today struggle in achieve the best information and education. They feel that will give greatest satisfaction to them- selves. We may understand that people have variety of thought. But, for those follow the true guide line will getting the right path, whatever they are. Moreover, we can see people today love to spread anything of knowledge and information to others and this is good approach that we must to keep it through. But, we must to remember, not at all and anything must information to be extent. Then, everything we got, must to study first and try to put our feet in others shoes, maybe we will see where is the truth. Indeed, the knowledge is the way to make people become pious and have good attitude. In western perspective, everything that come out to form the knowledge is from reason or mind. Mind is cause to any knowledge and from that people can form their views and outlook. While, in Islamic perspective, eve- ry knowledge and information must to be followed by revelation, Holy Quran, from Allah (SWT) because human mind is limit and have many different thought. The young time is the best time to gather knowledge as much as can do. Nevertheless, it is does not means that mature person is can- not to find out the knowledge but it is best when they started from young old. As we know, Imam Shafie’ (ra) in his poem had shown us that have several kind of tips to achieve the knowledge; “Brothers, you will not attain knowledge but six matters; adroit; feel not enough in knowledge; serious in study; enough expense; instruction and good teacher; and need time to study”. So, we may guess that study in knowledge is not just to take small matter. Need to high desire and strengthen without look back. Even though we are going to be old, it is not big deal to keep in seek the knowledge because those people love to figure out the knowledge, they are very great and not loss. There were several verses from Quran that support some point above; in surah Al-Baqarah, verse, 269; “He gives wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been given wisdom has certainly been given much good. And none will remember except those of understanding”. Allah (SWT) also had record in holy Quran; “It is He who has sent down to you, (Oh Muhammad), the book; in it are verses (that are) precise – they are the foundation of the Book – and others unspecific.
