FEM eNewsletter | December 2024 10 A total of 14 students from Year 3 of Bachelor of Accounting (SmPAK) accompanied by a lecturer, Dr Nurul Nazlia Jamil, participated in the 8th FEB UNPAD Summer Program, organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjajaran Bandung Indonesia. Universitas Padjadjaran’s Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) havecarriedoutthe8thFEBUNPAD Summer Program, adopting the theme of “ESG Challenges: The Role of AI and Reporting Practices” , on August 1-5, 2024. The annual international event held in UNPAD’s Dipatiukur and Jatinangor campus consisted of 57 participants, all being students from 11 nationalities and 8 universities. “FEB UNPAD is proud to host another Summer Program this year. This program is important to strengthen the relationship between FEB UNPAD and our university partners. We are delighted that this year we have so many students participating from our international university partners” said Prof Maman Setiawan, FEB Vice Dean of Academic Affairs. The Chief of the event’s committee, Associate Professor Dr Ersa Tri Wahyuni explained that this year’s theme revolves around the role technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things in helping businesses follow ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) principals. The speakers in this year’s program came from various backgrounds, including ESG standard setters, ESG assurance companies, as well as a series of speakers from energy, digital startup, and ESG consulting companies. The participants this year came from 8 universities globally and participated in various cultural and outdoor activities. The activities include games in the Tahura Forest, batik-making workshops, and a tour around the city of Bandung. During the program, the students are divided into groups, each of which would collaborate on a project to conceive solutions to combat 8 th FEB UNPAD Summer Program, Universitas Padjajaran, Bandung, Indonesia the challenges in committing to sustainability. The group with the best presentation was awarded at a gala dinner at the FEB Campus in Jatinangor. The gala dinner was also filled with many cultural performances from the students, including traditional songs and dance from multiple countries. Participants of the 8th FEB UNPAD summer program came from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Rwanda, Gambia, Nigeria, and Tanzania. Prominent speakers in this event came from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. The university partners participating in this event are: Universiti Malaya, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, De Lea Salle University – Dasmarinas (Philippines), National University of Management (Cambodia), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, and Universitas Islam International Indonesia.
