And be mindful of Allah in Whom you believe” – Al-Ma’idah, verse 87-88. “The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between that are matters that are doubtful (not clear); many of the people do not know whether it is lawful or unlawful. So whoever leaves it to protect his religion and his honor, then he will be safe, and whoever falls into something from them, then he soon will have fallen into the unlawful. Just like if someone grazes (his animals) around a sanctuary, he would soon wind up in it. Indeed for every king is a sanctuary (pasture), and indeed Allah’s sanctuary is what He made unlawful.” – Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1205. It is captivating to explore the field where cutting-edge medical care and religious principles synergize, where faith and healing arts complement one another, and where ethics and healthcare dance together in a compassion and innovation. A Shariah-compliant healthcare - a rising trend that’s illuminating the path towards a more inclusive and ethically-driven healthcare industry. The winds of change are blowing strong across the healthcare landscape. We’ve all sensed it - the yearning for more than just medical treatment, for an approach that nurtures not only our bodies but our souls too. This shift in focus towards health and well-being, coupled with the growing Muslim population, has given rise to Shariah-compliant healthcare. According to recent world population projections conducted by the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life, the Muslim population is projected to experience a significant 70% increase, reaching around 3 billion by 2060, up from 1.8 billion in 2015.
