FEM eNewsletter | June 2024 19 Faculty Achievements and Recognition from the Malaysian Financial Planner Council Since 2017, the Faculty of Economics and Muamalat (FEM) at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) has formed a strategic partnership with the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaborationwasestablished to benefit the Bachelor of Marketing (Financial Services) program (SMPPK), focusing on enhancing the teaching and financial well- being of Malaysians. The MoU laid the foundation for various programs aimed at strengthening the academic and professional knowledge of SMPPK students, with mutual gains for both FEMand MFPC. Since its inception, the partnership has consistently grown stronger through joint initiatives that offer opportunities for students to engage with the financial planning industry. Throughout the years, FEM has facilitated a wide array of events for SMPPK students as partof theMFPCcollaboration. These events include industry talks featuring MFPC experts and notable figures in financial planning, seminars and workshops through the Shariah Registered Financial Planning (Shariah RFP) module, industrial visits, and even online tournaments. The strong student participation in these activities highlights the success of the partnership, showcasing its value in providing real- world exposure and industry engagement for the students. This collaborative effort continues to play a vital role in enriching the educational journey of SMPPK students.
