Since Covid19 outbreak, people prefer to have direct contact with others to avoid the spread of the virus. With financial technology (fintech), travel agencies will be able to process payments far more swiftly as a result, even in circumstances where consumers lack access to cash or their credit or debit card. As a time saver, it can also improve the customer engagement (Revfine, 2021). Same goes to the user, the risk of the virus’s transfer can be reduce as there no longer direct contact through bank’s note/ physical money. Thus app name “PayPal”. It is a payment platform that that can be reach through mobile application or through the website. Function as digital wallet, PayPal encourage contactless payment among the users. The latest mobile apps for PayPal was released on September 21, 2021.. 4. Mobile apps This app “Tourplus” to help tourists find place to eat based on therestaurant reviews written by their customers. This app is the most advance tourism app in Malaysia. Tourplus also offers restaurant discount coupons and ease people to find their desired places such as Malaysian Food, Fashion Store, mosque and others that listed in Tourplus app. This app “Moovby” was released in 18 Jan 2017. This app focus on car sharing and rental market. People can rent any cars and anytime using this app. For car sharing, people can select nearby cars while car owners can earn extra money. This app is the largest car sharing and rental services app in Malaysia and Indonesia. Challenges Despite all of its opportunities, technology also faces a number of difficulties: 1. High cost and maintenance The first hotel that fully managed by robot was in Tokyo, Japan. It started operation in 2015 and invested high cost in maintenance cost, training, software update. This hotel not get good response from Japanese due to lack of human touch and ineffectiveness of the AI robots (Haddad, 2020). In addition, safety and security issues. In this era, cyber-attacks, security breaches are quite challenging (Agrawal, 2021). 2. Unemployment One of the drawbacks of technology in the sector is that it has increased unemployment. Many individuals who worked in hotels as managers, waiters, and cooks, as well as in the tourist business as tour guides, lost their employment as a result of cost-cutting measures and the use of the internet.
