ABSTRACT COMPILATION - EduGC 2025

73 / 87 ABSTRACT Life under water is currently under threat, where oceans are deeply polluted with trash and plastics. These plastics harm creatures, and damage the nature of the sea. Marine animals such as turtles and fishes often mistake the objects we throw underwater as food and consume them, leading to complications and death. The garbage and debris humans dispose can also damage corals and leave behind microplastics. These heavy metals and other contaminants can accumulate in seafood, making it harmful for humans to consume. Microplastics can be ingested by fish and other species that filter their food out of the water. (NOAA, 2020) The ignorant and unconscious acts of humans created a loop of destruction that reaches back to us. Thus, it is important to us to show the beauties of the underwater that deserve to be protected, and give a chance for players to immerse in a character that is actively trying to save it. Deep Sea Relic is an underwater puzzle adventure game designed for players who enjoy exploration, solving complex puzzles, and overcoming environmental challenges. The primary demographic for adventure games is young adults aged 19 to 35, who are drawn to immersive worlds, rich narratives, and intellectually engaging gameplay. The adventure games market is expected to grow significantly, valued at USD 7.5 billion in 2022 and projected to reach USD 12.3 billion by 2030 (Verified Market Reports, 2025).
