WHY USIM? Research and Innovation 1. USIM boasts the highest number of Shariah Advisors among academics in Malaysian public universities, with XX advisors specializing in the Islamic Banking and Finance Industry. Additionally, USIM has received the Outstanding Industry Collaboration Award (IOIC) from the Islamic Banking & Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) in recognition of our high-impact collaborations in the field of Islamic finance. 2. Our research programs are multidisciplinary in nature and are established in most of our academic faculties. The three most highly competitive research niche areas at USIM are Islamic Banking and Finance, Islamic Education for Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and Halal and Fatwa Management. 3. Furthermore, USIM is at the forefront of various research programs on both national and international levels. Some of the most notable research programs include the UNESCO Knowledge for Change Program (K4C), the Qalb-Based Islamic Leadership Training Program, Islamic Entrepreneurship, and others.
